My turning point came when Vista came around. I felt that Microsoft's grip was getting tighter on me. I had to break free, so I took the courage and I installed Ubuntu 7.4. That was the best decision I have ever made. Finally I had "THE OPERATIVE SYSTEM" I had waited all my life. I love the comradeship amongst its members who are always eager to help. It is a fantastic sensation. Thank to all those people who gave their time and resources to make this dream come true. Linux is not just an operative system, Linux is about freedom. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have used Linux since 2005 and Ubuntu since 2006. I love the control I have over my own machines. I bought a new machine 2 weeks ago -AMD64x2 4400+- and it came with Vista. As I had never used Vista and I had payed for it, I decided to give it a try. It lasted 6 days before I let Ubuntu Hardy Heron format it to oblivion.

When I first started reading about Ubuntu, I wondered what Linux was like. I was braced for a difficult to use, command-line interface. Guess what: Ubuntu was nothing like that. For the past year and a half, I've been using Ubuntu Linux...consistently. It's a merger of two worlds: the nontechnical and the extremely technical. Ubuntu has something for everyone; regardless of what you do, or what you plan on using it for. Simply the best distro out there.
